Another thing that pissed me off right away is the fact anyone can pick any name at all
Defeats the purpose of ears in pvp and there is no individuality at all
This blizzard just cant diablo

For d2lod vs d2r

-WW broken mechanics (hit registry issue)
-IAS changes (breakpoint)
-FHR/Stun mechanics ( pretty much gone, can only stun once ever 3-4sec)
-Skill balance changed (some nerf some buff, like WW nerfed, Sprit & bone nec buff)
-WSG gone,
-Strength Bug (gone, most actually invest useless point in strength, to wear the gear)
-QoL (some good & some bad)

The key is that PvP does not feel the same anymore,
(This is the reason D2LoD is still alive after 23years)

no one plays d2lod for PvM, the game take less then 2 hours to beat......


Forgot about that no str bug makes 80% of base white items obsolete . they've just made it worse and worse with each patch just digging the hole deeper. It shows they have no idea what they are doing and it tells us d4 wont amount to much at all

d2lod was good even up until d2r announcement

Not the best for pvp on d2r
A lot of people who haven’t even played d2lod are on res, not sure why you’d need a remaster if you haven’t played the original.
I’m on both just my experience

d2lod was good even up until d2r announcement


D2R was made for pvm'ers which is mind blowing because the game is mind numbing to pvm. All they had to do was QOL changes and graphic update for D2 but they had to fuck with game mechanics and make you complete the A3 quests even though you can still fully Grush characters. I guess they just wanted to make the g rush longer for some reason...

I've been playing some D4 and its not terrible. Havent got to pvp much yet tho. Im not expecting it to be D2, but its for sure better than D3

Because d2r is a pos upgrade. I rather prefer the good old graphics. I don't like to support a money grabbing scheme, it offers no real upgrades, and you need a space age computer to make it run. No thanks. People are so simple, easy and brainwashed these days, they jump on anything, and it ruins the player base. It's just sad.

Just got my druid to level 31 now, got two characters left, then i have all 7 characters at level 30-40 on old d2 ladder reset. Very much fun!

I play both but still prefer LOD over D2R. Mainly for nostalgia, but D2R did some lame shit too imo. Like huge, shared stashes and the new runewords made the game way easier(not that LOD didnt do that with RWs, but D2R just added even more). They also changed up a few abilities and got rid of some things like ebugging armor for sockets.

Not to mention that you need to use their client and even in single player it takes 10-15 seconds to load a game or even use a fuckin waypoint or TP. Ive lost a few HC chars because Id finally get back in my tp and be dead already.
