FANTASY NOVELS?
they actually look pretty cool
i tried reading a description but it went way over my head
can you describe them pls
a lot of similarities to tolkien's work (which i loved the first time i read it when i was 5). the stories are about a world called the four lands ( post apocalyptic world reshaped by cataclysmic destruction by the "old sciences" and now dominated by magic, the surviving remnants of humanity became animal like and mutated into various races (dwarves, trolls, gnomes, men [elves were there all along]) , each group of the novels covers a different generation, sometimes spanning several centuries and usually involve trying to stop some dark magic and tends to rely on different generations of a family that has inherited magic into their bloodlines.
in this latest trilogy magic is fading away and a rediscovery of science is threatening the world, so there is a quest undertaken to find the disappeared elfstones that were lost thousands of years ago and no one knows where they went, or what magic they possessed, or if they still exist.

enders game (and its following trilogies / parallel) by orson scottcard is now being made into a movie*
if u didnt read it as a teen, u should get the .mobi or .epub and get goin before the movie comes out

i read the first one, the read is rather too easy and geared towards very young, and very slow readers. but was a fun concept, kind of overdone though
