game is really short
beat whole thing in less than 3 hours, exploring every single area and dungeon 100%

yea.. d3 just didn't have that diablo feel to it for me.
I played d2 for so so very long so I had high expectations and got let down really hard.
esp. since I bought a brand new desktop just to play it on.. didn't need a new computer one I had was great.
but just to play d3 I blew money and got let down.
d2>d3... by far.

Unfortunately I don't think anything will ever come close to d2
I mean for the amount of years that we all played. For the friendships we all built together
D2 is the only thing that stayed consistent in all our lives over the years
Even now we all still hang around and talk etc even if we disappear for a few months we always find our way back
But now instead of knowing where everyone is and what they are doing we all play diff games and do different things

Until there is another game that we can all get hooked on and all play together...nothing will ever compare to d2 lol

Don't know if you've ever tried WoW, but I have had more fun on this game than any game I have ever played. Don't get me wrong, d2 was great, but I think most of us just played it for the people we played with.

That's true, but d2 was no different. The only difference is playing the story in d3 is pointless, the d2 story was actually fun.

The thing that made d3 boring at first was the fact that it didn't have the community aspect or the challenge that d2 had - there was no public game system and no ranking system.

You can both join communities to play with people and there is a ranking system now, so I mean, it's a different game from 2012. The greater rift is about beating the.. I guess you could call it training grounds, as fast as you can on the hardest difficulty. It's different from grinding baals because it's actually a challenge. D3 actually has to be played, unlike d2, where we just bought all our items with either $ or fg, then smoked a shitload of pot and grinded baals - we actually have to find our gear, push for the hardest difficulty, and actually play the game. And, of course, no hacks. It's different from d2 where everything was straight forward and easy. So, there's that. The record is like, 1 player.. level 45, in 14:40 something.. I'm at 38 in 14 something. I suck

I admit you're all right, nothing will compare to d2.. it will never be as fun as d2, if that's your standard you'll never have fun. But eh, I don't exactly have much else going on now for games and I enjoy playing.

I really just mean.. d3 is 100% different in late 2014 than it was in 2012. It's really comparing d2 non-expansion to d2 expansion. I don't highly recommend it, but the game is more fun than it used to be.
