Luckily i had just started playing again yesterday and didn't have anything of value just a lvl 40 zon on the new ladder.

But no MH or any other hacks were used. Simply used my legit paid for VPN. Be careful

how do they even know wheter you used vpn? i have 2 bublic ips... phone and fixnet, do they consider it as vpn??

The bans are all from getting realm downed and attempting to do things while realm downed. People saying "don't use hacks" are jokers, no hacks are being detected right now and you can get banned on a completely legit account+key. If you don't believe me make a fresh account, intentionally get it realm downed and start spamming stuff or reconnect through an ssh tunel/proxy/vpn/whatever, connect to other realms, just generally do things while realm downed. If you don't want to get banned don't get realm downed and don't use shady keys that have been resold. It's that simple. The realm down mechanics punish legit players hard to begin with, and now they are banning on top of it which is ridiculous.

So if one get realm down, what do you do? Dont touch battle.net for a week? Even checking if rd is off will get u banned?

I don't want to play anymore.
Didn't have R/D in 2 weeks and my ip changes 2-3 times per day without any warning because it's dynamic.
If I get banned for that then really all hope is lost.
Also: If my ip changes while I am ingame I get instant R/D and got to change it again.
Time to quit I guess... was fun earning some fg and spending it on a char I'll probably never play.

This is absolutely bizarre if its actually the reason for the bans, but it seems like its rly the story.
blizzard should unban every singel acc, real hackbanrs aswell (unless they can tell the difference in their logs).
doubt theyll ever do that or even admit though.

It's the other way around, you get realm down when your account gets closed.

Because the person comes back with different IP using the same key which is tagged by R/D. Bnet assume is hacker.

Those diabaal bots 5 minute game changes key every 3 games and ip every 15 games never gets caught as it is impossible to r/d. When r/d does hit, they are programmed to stop connecting.

They probably wanna kill D2 so they can use the servers for the respin or something else.

Not sure how they ban though its certainly not by detecting,lots of bots running on EU scl still.

This. There are so many reasons why IPs could change spontaneously - router settings, ISP's settings, use of mobile devices/LTE stick, switching between public networks, etc.... And if you're unlucky and get a R/D during that time, your'f**ed? GG blizz

Besides, there were other ways to bypass RDs (for me it mostly worked fine to clean up D2 folder, then run CCleaner, done). Could that now cause trouble/bans, too?
