Verbally denying something is just that, a denial. Slander is a form of defamation. Something spoken about another that is untrue. Denying that you ever wrote something libelous or spoke something slanderous does not mean you have committed another count of defamation.

Verbal slander is redundant. Leave the legalese to people who study law.

the reason for my redundancy was based on your statement earlier in which the law only recognizes slander verbally, but when describing general slander (by definition), verbal must be in included, which was and continues to be my point.

You really don't understand what I wrote. Slander = spoken defamation. It is always spoken. Libel = written slander. It is always in writing. Making a statement like "Verbal Slander" is redundant because slander is already defined as spoken, verbal, et. al.
