You can equip +2 MA gloves if you wield a LW. +2 MA means more dmg. And Might aura from LW adds dmg too. Yes, dmg kills.

And LW offer CB as well. Yes, it helps.

And fade from LW means some res and dr.

VS Uber Meph, Non-pally characters need 300 res (310LR is preferable if you use tgods), as they have no way to use higher lvl conviction, btw.

My statement has been argued and verified many many times by folks here far more versed in the game than you or I. I'm sure its before your time here, tho. The math has been done and the testing has been done.

Last wish can be your favorite main hand if thats your thing! But the discussion is LW vs Grief. Anything vs grief melee is garbage (Hybrid runewords are a sep discussion)

You should write up something why LW isnt garbage and post it. I'll throw some love your way.

LW is only good because of the cb.
If you want to have life tap, you can just shop a wand with charges, assuming you for some reason desperately want +2 of an assa tree instead of draculs. It's cheaper than 5 hrs.
If you want the fade proc, you can get it way cheaper as well.




You will clear ubers faster with a low dmg weapon + high cb than with just a high dmg weapon. CB doesn't just help in ubers - it's doing the majority of the damage



My opinion: Grief is better in almost every situation, but if you want to clear ubers really fast, and have the correct items, LW will be slightly better.
I'd recommend spending 30-60sec more time in uber trist and using the 4.5 - 5 hrs to make a full new char
