People seem to get triggered by nothing. I really don't understand.

This is discussion for "HYBRID SMITER"
- Hybrid smiter is the build that use Hammer or FoH for main dps and use smite for boss fights. If you don't like the build because not super efficient or something, don't read the post.
- Concept of the build is not having to go to stash for swapping gears. The whole point of the build is to use hammer/foh and use decent enough smite WITHOUT going to stash.
- Grief is absolutely better than last wish with high enough CB gears.
- Hybrid smiter can't use CB gears as freely as pure smiter because of FCR and Skill level considerations.

There's not much meaningful exchange of opinion is going on, so I will wait until someone who actually likes to play the build appears

Dude, let me try and explain what is trying to accurately tell you.

14k hammer in hell baal @ players 8 is faster than smiting baal with a last wish + goblin toes. Even then, by trying to use last wish you'd be gimping your hammer dmg so hard that the rest of throne will just be so much slower that it wouldnt compensate for what little speed you would gain vs baal (if at all).

So to put it in very simple terms:

- Use standard hammer equip
- Swap to Grief + guillaumes + goblins if you wanna do ubers. u got 20.000 stash tabs, there's no reason to limit yourself with a "Hybrid" idea thats just inneficient.

How do I lose hammer dmg? it's just last wish + whatever shield in the swap spot instead of usual CTA.
You are absolutely wrong with hammer being faster. See below

vs P8 baal
last wish + goblin toe smite = 16 seconds
max skill hammer = 31 seconds

I'm in the same boat. Too lazy to swap anything other than the hot key 😜

Btw, I prefer faster attack speed when it comes to smite.

Would you please check how long would it take with Shael'ed Stormlash and Kingslayer PB respectively? Both reach 8 frames at least in LoD instead of 9 frames.

Hey, finally who understands the topic. Yea, it's just better (and obviously more expensive but not super efficient) build of hammerdin/fohdin.
People get mad for nothing I don't know why.

You pay a lot of premium for 1 small number difference in d2 and d2r and circle jerk with it.

BTW,
tough luck on shael'd Stormlash. 23.6 seconds on P8 Baal (6 frames attack rate which is maximum, with phoneix shield).
It seems like you don't need shael on it, it's already at max attack rate without. (I use Fanaticism aura and I have 1 15 ias jewel on my head.
If you don't need shael, you can slap ber into it and it reduces killing time to 19 seconds.

Kingslayer is around at 23.5 seconds. I only have Goblin toe for CB btw
