Are you the all seeing Eye? Cause absorb and stunlock is really fun in terms of gameplay. Did you forget 1v1? Let’s keep going with this in 2.4. Give druids a full zoo and buff necros damage.
just saying this is my experience.
I do pub quite a bit and see very few assassins doing well (in 1v1 gm) other than myself.
I don't see assassins dominating 1v1 tournaments I watch, the only US players doing good on sin in tournaments are Bui and toeshank, Bui was winning with sin in LoD in multiple tournaments prior to d2r release, and toeshank has lost more tournaments on sin in d2r than he has ever lost tournaments in lod, and when he did win it had more to do with him being gdlk than it did with sins being broken.
multiple sins enter the tournaments I watch, most get knocked out in the first few rounds and there is usually only 1 by the time it gets to top4.
d2r widescreen resolution works against assassins in that players are now no longer forced to go into a claustrophobic 4:3 screen with multiple traps out to try to namelock the sin.
1v1 duels can now take place at a longer distance allowing players to stay out of traps easier.
players can c/t tele offmap to break namelocks in one tele, this removes a lot of the options assassins have for following up edge screen namelocks and chasing like they did on lod, even when d2lod had heavy wsg use.
things are different in d2r, and you can't yolo teleport into 5 traps thinking you can just wsg away. approach the matchup differently.
make sure you have fhr, possibly use extra frw if you can.
use the extra screen space to your advantage.
yes some aspects of the meta have changed.
people are dueling vs sins fine tho.
a tournament a week or two ago had a necro player winning, beating both jess and zee in nec vs trap. both of whom are considered top players on us servers.
jess was considering selling his sin after that to play hammer or druid in the next tournament.
watch top players and see how they handle the sin matchup.
