Ok how is the dmg on these builds though?

I just tried 20 chaos runs with max block and hoto / Stormshield bered / blood fist / treks setup and even though I was tankier, it was taking me forever to kill mobs? That's with enigma 6 skillers anni torch 2 sorc FCR ammy mind you?

My damage was so bad that I just respected max vita no block and went back with CM and Spirit for the moment. I am only 91 though so deaths aren't too bad right now.

How much dmg does the ES route gives you vs storm casters in chaos runs on d2planner?

If ur goal is to lvl to 97+ and dont care about MF why are you playing alone? if ur in a group why care about dmg?

Well I was hoping to be somewhat proactive. I don't want to be just sitting there heh

In my 25ish pub runs yesterday from 90 to 91 I was doing most of the killing after I respected back to crescent moon no block. People even commented the runs were gg and efficient and I liked that

I'm looking for a build with which I can be proactively killing yet strong and dying rarely if that's possible

its a tough balance, especially if ur goal is to never die, and even 1 death at like 96+ is soul crushing, hundreds of runs down to drain.

u could go mostly safety items, coa, gerkes, ironpelt, etc. and then light facet them all to try and find a balance. but its touchy for sure.

and ondals is always an option but without tanks its risky as hell.

Yes I guess I want a build that prioritize survivalibiliry from 96 +, while have still has much dmg as possible

You can go on like that until lvl 93. Afterwards, every death becomes a problem. At 95+ you need to kill nihlatak to get any meaningful xp, super dangerous. My sorc is lvl 95 right now. I'm still trying to gear up, don't have that much fg like folks who've been active all these years.

Play in a group, let them deal the damage. Assume that your time has value and if you’re having trouble surviving chaos runs then you can either update your gear or stop teleporting into things that kill you.

Besides the rings this should cost less than a hr.

Arach or tgods
Frostburn
Sojs or natures peace if sojs are out of budget
Silkweave

+3 light ammy+circ, solsol
You shouldn’t need resist since your plan is to take zero damage, but with a few charms you’ll have it anyway.
Memory staff on swap

Inventory can be light gcs + scs with any combination of strength, dex, mana.

Go ahead and max tk+es so you won’t need prebuff swaps.
There are technically better options for some of these swaps but finding them would take longer than just hitting level 99 so it’s not worth it for your needs.

no combination of mods in chaos will allow you to get one-shot with this setup, even mana burn extra strong lord de seis.
