Do you happen to have two stackable items with low quantity in either your stash/cube/inventory by chance(2 tp books, 2 keys, etc.)? Most actions that remove or add item to your inventory will remove your cursor item.

Another way I found that can fix this bug cursor was removing an item from the cube with the help from another char via quest then inserting it back into the cube but it's unlikely you have those quest items in the cube.

You can also try to let DrakeMillers on your character and see if he can fix it for you. Or you can try contacting blizzard support and explaining your situation and they may be nice enough to roll your save back a few checkpoints.

Dunno if this is applicable with this bug but ive had items held on cursor before to save them in mule but later forgot and once i rechecked the particular mule, the item that was on the cursor was deleted because its not permanently saved on ur character.

Not logging in to the char for a while and maybe waiting for server restart will get ur char caught up with the server...

0x21 can stack keys without you having them in your hand and it seems reasonable to get rid of stucked cursor item that way.
is that how people dupe stackable items such as runes in pd2? because this packet is also working during trade:D

tried 0x38 both with available and no quest - doesn't work because item is considered being at some
other place where sending this packet does nothing. i guess selling wouldn't work either if you were
interacting with some npc - for the same reason:/

blizzard will not roll your character back otherwise i would gladly abuse that favor

yeah if sending 0x38 from a1 stash doesn't work, it won't when interacted with the npc either.
you say you tested it and the location was wrong, so you have repro for this bug? Please let us know if you do.
