If you dont have all the time to MF, its best to make a sorc to help rush people to hell. You can do hell just fine with fire bolt/blizz or orb just fine. Also making a cheap smiter is good, you can provide a service when people start collecting keys.

start early ladder with blizz sorc. Run hell with minimum eq u can cope with. Keep selling everything. Upgrade your gear when certain items becomes too common.
example eq: Lore helm, Smoke/Stealth armor, Ancients pledge/rhyme/splendor shield, Spirit sword. Everything else is just the same. Note that you want to upg your a2 merc alongside with you. Insight/Obedience in decent base is more than enough.

How much u usually earn on this?

If i remember correct i collect 1-3k coins at ladder starts depending on how much i play..but much of that previously was from leveling chars, which one can't do to sell anymore...The first days a paladin went for 400-1k gold if u got it to 85+ medium/high up on the ladder list...

I haven't started a single ladder in time. Last time I scraped around 7-8k,1-2 weeks late. Also made bad choice to upgrade my character into something pretty sweet. Shouldve sold all by the time I found them and the amount couldve rise up to 10-15k.
You only need determination to farm a lot :)

It's really quite simple. Just play the game for what it is, have fun. Incorporate a little bit of grinding, and you'll eventually find stuff that can be sold for FG.
