While his armor choice is definitely very poor, I would like to see a screenshot of a melee sorc with 250k screen damage. His 40k is actually quite reasonable given the fact that he has no inventory. If he put in 9x lite skillers and 10x lite scs, that figure would be around 69-71k which is where most geared zeal sorcs lie. Even factoring -enemy resists from gear and infinity, at most you double that to 140k~ish.

That said, with 500 hp, this build gets destroyed by mana burn which sadly, is very very common.

I explained in the video if you even watched it I know you can get the damage much higher with pre buffing and swapping out 20 different items but I personally think that is very inconvenient and a waste of time. I also hate doing it its just annoying to swap out that many items for a pre buff.
