what I've found is um a few things:
1) you're going to easily kill the cold-vulnerable monsters first so there won't be any left when you're using light, so ts will hit them
2) since if it can be damaged with ts or nova, it can be static'd down to 1 hp, you can hit a monster with BOTH static & ts at the same time; just stand there (or strafe around) and spam static field. It goes faster to static a monster down to 1% HP and have ts finish it than to static it down to 5% and have nova finish it, because you'll be staticing nonstop
Again, w/e floats your boat. As I said in my last post, I've tried TS, and I don't like it.

3) cold / light immunes in hell are basically impossible to kill, even with level 10ish firewall with 1 mastery. It takes such ages that its best to simply ignore them unless they are the hell travincal. In which case fireball merc can actually help a TON:
at level 80, a fire merc does uhh 270 damage a hit. Very nice complement to your firewall. But its very questionable if you even need firewall at all imo. I think its the last thing you should stat. I mean, the ONLY time I've ever used it is against cold/light immunes. If it was just cold immune i can ill it with pure light damage. Faster to static/ts it than to drop even a single firewall. But it can take literally 3+ minutes of firewalls to kill a high hp council member, at 500 dps.
The only boss/superunique that you need to kill in order to advance a rush is NM Seis, and I don't even remember if he can spawn as Cold and Light Immune in NM. You might also encounter Unique monsters that can randomly spawn, but if you're not comfortable enough to handle them, then just remake the game and hope they aren't there.
