you should always use sandboxie to load support chars. i have not made a cta in over 15 years now because only the poor use them. instead make a BO BARB and you will have +1 in your game increasing hr drop odds (i only run in full games)
use low str pally gear and make your char have the highest life possible.

are you 75 fcr or 125? if 75 fcr use dual sojs, if 125 fcr use dual blood rings with fcr life str dex or rare rings
amulet if you are 75 fcr use maras, if 125 fcr use a 2/20 caster craft
magefist or tangs gloves
hotspur or 30/10/tri res (light fire cold != poison its not a res)
hoz + um
hoto if you are 125 fcr or 75 fcr/ i like to use a wiz spike with a 15 all res jewel for all areas, if i am running chaos ill add a 30 fire res jewel or a 30 light res jewel for souls in throne. wiz is a cheap option and does use a lot of dex but it is a solid choice if you want to hit 99 and add safety items to your gear. remember damage is not everything.
torch/annii pcombs+hp/ i like to use 20/11 scs so i can res stack to a certain element like fire or light as its very deadly (niths c/e, souls, fire damage under conviction in chaos)
mfing does not have to be complicated, in chaos you will find every item in the game, the map is open and static and there is lots of ghosts and rare and champ monsters. i live by the gospel of chaos its a special area were any thing is possible. just running today i have found 3 jahs 1 ber lo sur ohm 3 vexes. chaos is the place of where dreams come true.
when you start ladder if you can do nm baals with your support team and you all have cs spirits block and some res you can immediately just start running chaos at 70 then just run that until about 90 the hrs will drop with enough runs. your basic template run will have chaos - kill every monster dont pop seals and skip monsters like a fucking noob thats not the point of the area. then hit up nith then drop into baal. you can also have other chars in the background do pit, trav, all act bosses, and clear world stone 1 2 3, crypt +mausoleum + ancient tunnels, izzy in 8-9 minutes by micro managing sub party teams.
some go after mf but i find that going after hrs since it does not use mf instead by running in full games with minimal mf you will get instead levels and hrs and a lot of uniques.
always use support chars its a requirement to do a good job..
