I remember typing "hey gab" in chat and it wouldn't go through, then I couldn't say anything for a minute or so
Turns out the "ey g" was triggering it. "eyg" or "e yg" or "e y g" or whatever, it hits a filter
There are probably other strings of letters that do it too, very annoying

yeah there will be a huge list of triggers they could just delete and itll fix chat bug
but they dont want people to freely communicate on games anymore anyway
haven't played D2r for a long time but i assume the main lobby chat is still not working too?

Try moving to a different spot on the map and try typing something different. Otherwise you can wait or try rejoining.

in d2 there are restricted keywords. bliz phases the text string and if it contains all of or part of a restricted keyword then you get muted from 1 min to 5 min for that character not ip. now if you spam a lot then you can have your cdkeys muted, all you need to do is log what key is muted and swap in new ones and allow for those cdkeys to cool down for 2 weeks. if the cdkeys have had more then one mute restriction they get perm muted.

so its not a chat "bug" instead its a feature
