You're account is not banned, just muted. You may have been spamming in a game. Check bnet forums, you'll be unmuted eventually.

This may be the case. The guys running only baal games switch ips every few games so they won't r/d.

problem with that for me is, the mule acct I had get closed never got r/d and I never switch ip's cuz it never worked for me before when I did get a r/d on my main acct

If you don't wait around 30s between switching characters while looking through mules you can get a 2-48 hour realm down (not account).

It's different from the 20 games per hour per cdkey+ip realm down too.

Very little to do with account closed (8), but people are really dumb and will switch character+join game+check for items+leave every 5 seconds and this is something that you should not do even if you haven't been realm downed. Spamming in-game is enough. They usually mute cdkeys not accounts so you probably got your cdkeys stolen at some point if you are telling the truth. Or you bought them from a retailer that just mails you keys for $2-$10.

are you on a legit cd key bought from blizzard?

They flag people reconnecting immediately after getting r/d. That is why innocent people are getting caught.
