I have been very busy over the last weeks, I am now started on my dueler. Level 31 paladin, not spending much on him so don't expect a challenge, I enjoy making uniqe, cheap builds and trying to beat very expensive duelers, have had a decent amount of success. What character classes are in the tournament at the moment?

Not an issue pm, lmk what you're looking for I might have something in stock

Any melee char class for the following:

Paladin (melee only)
Any type of Barb
Javazon (No farcast types, cs is allowed)
No Necros/Sorcs
Druids (melee only) no ele druids
Assassin (melee only)

/edit I didn't spend much on my character maybe 200fg-ish with mostly self-found gear

Also on the chips vs golden argument. NOWHERE was it stated that a person would be disqualified if they didn't duel with in a week. It said I would LIKE duels to be completed within a week. It also said that both players have the opportunity to contact each other to arrange a time, it is my opinion that giving chips an extra 2 days is fair. I think it is very unfair that the people starting this tournament want to DQ the person they are dueling against. Doesn't seem right to me. This county is a democracy, so lets just vote on whether or not to DQ him. I vote no, I also think chips would vote with me, making it 2-2. Tie means no DQ. Not taking sides here, I just want some good fair competition.


The 'rules' never said a DQ would be given, it said you would LIKE it if they were done in a week. That is not a very strict wording of this so called rule. Later in the same post, you gave the competitors the option to arrange a duel time, Chips said he would be available to duel in a couple days, I don't see what the problem is. Him saying when he can duel is clearly fallowing the second 'rule' you posted. The whole week think was worded more to be a PREFERENCE than a rule that a competitor could be disqualified for. If you disqualify someone to get a win, what's the point of winning? Where is the honor in that? I say give him 3 extra days, and if he doesn't duel by then, they its a dodge. Sound like the most fair thing to me. Whats the point of winning if you didn't have to beat anyone to win? And what's so bad about 3 days?


Edit: according to this week rule, me and ftw5 should both be kicked out.... But no one seems to have a problem with me coming back late. Just give the guy 3 days and give him a chance to compete. I don't see how it hurts anything.

Not choosing sides at all, just trying to make a fair competition, as this is the only place to compete at all.... We can all agree that ehcl is fairly dead and it can be harder than it used to be to gather some of our gear. There isn't much competition as it is, so why alienate the few people we are lucky enough to have?


Also, this 'week' rule isn't anywhere on the first page of this topic, we can't honestly expect someone to read every page and post of this to be informed of a rule. If it is a rule that someone can be DQ'd for, I would say that it should be in the first post....

Edit # 105: Today is just now 1 week from the signup deadline, how can it already be far enough in for a DQ anyways? It just doesn't seem fair to me.

So, what are we agreeing on for Chips, Today is Saturday the 8th of February the day I planned on wrapping up the semi-finals.
As the Tour Director in all fairness I can say we should have a vote on this, as for you Lindseysmith, FTW5's 10 day absence is a DQ we cannot allow 1 person to hold up an entire Tour.
(There must be rules to keep this legitimate)
So, I'm asking Today counts as 1 day and tomorrow (Sunday) makes that day #2 approx how many days is fair in your opinion?

/edit Reminder Sign-ups took place back in January & I extended that period to fill up the Tournament and ended Sign-ups on Feb. 1st

If the week limit has already been reached, I say 3 days should be fair. He asked for 2 days in a previous post, giving 3 will allow him ample time. Also he can have no excuse after those 3 days, giving him 1 more day than he requested leaves absolutely no reason for him to argue being disqualified if that does happen. Thank you for being fair, and not choosing sides. Makes me feel much better about this tournament. That way, if the 3 day mark is passed with no duel, there is just nothing he can say to avoid being DQd, and it would CLEARLY be a dodge, and fair to both parties.



Also what's character classes are currently still left in this competition, and who is playing on what class? I am either going to run a paladin, or assassin. I would just like to know what I am up against before I decide what to use. I have both chars leveled, and quested. Both are mostly geared just gathering odds and ends. haven't had a chance over the last weeks, as I am planning a wedding, working, taking care of my daughter, etc.

PS: I think chips should be granted a couple extra days so he can waste more fg on unnecessary charms to get RIP'd

LOL, I don't really know anything about how good chips is or anything so I can't really say who I think will win, I just hope they actually duel. DQs are no fun. I would also like to watch, be a secondary ref to the duel. Another pair of eyes never hurt.

@ SoFine,

We are using referees during duels and each dueler is required to submit screenshots prior to the duel using a system we have set in place to prevent cheats, and s/s posted after duel.
This all takes place in the presence of a duel referee one who is trusted & experienced, any use of any cheat is an automatic DQ from the Tour and will be exposed.

I think it's safe to say that 100% of the duelers in the Tour are aware of the rules & are following them.

What would Hardcore be if you couldn't die?
In my opinion, I would honestly just play softcore or actually I would just quit, it would no longer be fun.
