I priv and I pub, been like that for the last 9-10 years? When you make a pvp char, you can put whatever gear you want on it (those are my thoughts on classic only). If it turns out that your char has too much cr for an orb sorc, then learn not to use an orb sorc in pvp. Cold res is not BM. I'm not talking about 3 socket Psaph shields here, just regular good gear. Doesn't make someone any less of a dueller.

you like your priv rules, you play them, its your priv games, enjoy it, but diablo was ment to be played without any other support rules done by others, and none should cry about hots/sorbs/3 soc shield and any other thing, thats how diablo is being played.

trying to prove all the world that your rules are the right is stupid.

The winner in a duel should not win cuz of his items. Therefore rules is a good way to go.

Then of c there will always be ppl wanna duel with fc and hacks or really high res etc and like what you are saying its up for each dueler.

160 cr in norm , 210 in hell ( with thaw if you want ) has been enough for me to kill any coldsorc in public the last 3 years..

duells with 9x fr and 26x cr are silly, 1 hit makes 10 dmg and duels would take years.
If you have balanced res for both types of chars, it comes down to your own playing skill to win.

But yeah, if you don't have skills just stack 93483948 cr and 95 fr so you don't have to bother how you play, you will mostly win by just playing like a handicaped cripple.
