I played dayZ when it was a mod of Arma 2, but I haven't got into the stand alone release yet, I don't think it's good enough to warrant me looking at it... yet.

i have dayz, dont get it yet, get it when its finished. right now its just reallly frustrating, no transportation, drops are stupid as hell, food/water system is downy fresh, and characters get reset at random when rocket feels like a new patch is significant enough to wipe everyones characters clean.
