Oh? Diablo 1 brings back a heap of memories. On dial-up and where placing tape on the modem's buzzer to keep family from waking up as that loud connection sound happens. Oh, and making sure that no one needed the phone.
I gave up on online Diablo 1 play when someone made a hack to kill peeps in town as soon as you joined the game.

D2r could have been worse but they still made game mechanics worse and added things unnecessary, the diablo franchise will prob go till diablo 6 and label it diablo 6 release date 06.6.20xx
The games never will be what they were the people making these games don’t have the same understanding to what it should be
Imo diablo 1 remade with graphics updates would top what diablo 4 will be.
I had diablo 1 on PlayStation 1 where it all started when I was a kid the game is nostalgic and unfortunately because of its early success with d1 d2 and LOD they will continue pumping out games disappointing fans that have been playing this on and off for 20+ years.

catchy advertisement and good graphics will do the job and a lot of people will be exited every time a diablo game is announced, but the hype won't last much (unless for the old diablo fans who are expecting an actual good product) and the game/s will be shitty or in the best case scenario decent or even a barely good game, but at the same time, i feel like it will apply the "half-life phenomena":

regardless of how good the final product may be, we will be expecting more, much... much more, because we've gone through so many things over too many years with the first 2 games that we'll feel nothing is as good as them

but again, i dont think this will actually happen, because the last diablo games were crap, and that is neither our opinion, nor a subjective critic based on our hard love for d1/d2 etc etc etc... its just that these last games were simply not really good, and that... is a fact

Honestly it’s how they bent the game
Absolute broken pvp and no trade system basically caused d3 to be a much worse game then it was not that it was ever good but had they balanced pvp and kept full trading in the game it would have been well better,
The ball is bound to be dropped i expect nothing anymore from blizzard they aren’t the company that built its legacy they half fast games for quick sales then don’t really care state of the games longevity and move on they rush products and lack knowledge it’s sad to think that probably most random gamers here though can’t code could create a better game then they could with guided help in theory. They just care about money they don’t care if we like the game cause enough people will buy it regardless how shit it is

Example is how many people still play diablo 1-2 and still have faith in this company which isn’t blizzard it’s literally just a flurry at this point blizzard produced some of the best games I’ve ever played and it’s not the nostalgia over expectation in all honesty the games are garbage they make now and it’s no secret
