As people have said trav is more for gold (although you do find some runes there). If you're trying to find runes specifically it may be good to incorporate some other areas. It seems like all the 85 places are pretty good. I find chaos is very juicy as most of the minions are fairly squishy to phys damage. Just find what you like to run and do that.

I would mix it up on my barb but mostly ended up doing trav / chaos / nithalak and i think this gear setup is pretty optimal:

2/20 circ (good stats = res, dex, frw, life, mana etc)
2 / 13+ fcr amulet
enig
2 grief pb
blood glove (can usually find ones without ias for cheap ... can get really nice dual leach, resis, mf, gf, etc)
arach
fcr dual leach ring + other dual leach res ring
res boot with mf/gf or travs

ist'd babas on switch

this give you 63 fcr natively for gg tele and horking

survivability is overrated as after they fix mana burn nothing is gonna kill you. and the only thing that is threatening is phys dmg mobs with fanat and you can just use howl to manage those. you don't even need max resis except maybe lightning but its pretty easy to achieve.
