Hybrid sorceress is dog shit

To OP:

Don't be bothered by him. He simply doesn't read, as always.

Since I'm farming on P1, I don't really need godly damage

Not if you are a player like me and just like to clear everything while farming.

I'm not into tryharding and making 300 trav runs in a row.

I like to go everywhere.

--------------------------------

Btw I got my Infinity. Bad roll 284%/-53%. But I have it now.

And using the planner I compared :

With shako :
-Lightning damages : 11–49,515
-Chain Lightning damages : 11–19,391

With perfect Griffon socketed wi 5/-5 light
-Lightning damages : 12–51,833
-Chain Lightning damages : 12–20,656

Which is only a 2318 damage increase on lightning. It's way weaker than I thought.

If I add a 1 light skiller with shako though :
-Lightning damages : 11–52,799
-Chain Lightning damages : 11–20,344

Which is a 3284 increase on lightning.

So, even if I agree that Griffon may helps a lot when it comes to lightning immunes because even if Infinity break the immunity their lightning res is still high, it's overall better in my opinion to get some skillers first. Griffon BiS when you go for the absolutely perfect gear and also for the 200FCR cap. But I think it's kind of overrated when it comes to the game maths.
Griffon is something like 700fg right now. I'd rather buy few 70fg light skillers to boost my damage than investing into griffon right now.

you dont use griffon for the damage on your character screen you use it for the -% dmg since all the immunities you break with infinity is still only applied 1/5 effectiveness against it and usually you dont 1shot those mobs (ghosts and so on)
But as i said earlier it purely depends on what you farm if you can 1shot _all_ mobs and not lose killspeed cause you dont use griffon then you don't need it.
You can easily try this in chaos see how long time it takes you to kill a ghost
