i hit 85 last night on the fohdin. in +7@ gear /w hand of blessed light - basically mid range gear - hes not bad. if you only want to ever run cs or baal or andy or mausoleum and are okay with sometimes doing single target damage....its probably better than hammers FOR HARDCORE - early on anyway

you dont need fcr (tho il probly rock 75fcr long term for quicker hb) so its really easy to get your char nice and buff on HC and still be able to stomp. makes a nice season starter. because of running conv you can sort of "corner peek" and know what youre walking into in most situations. you can throw HB through doorways or hallways and clear, you can stand nearly off screen and cast foh (i actually get the feeling /w the oldschool widescreen mod that made u see like 100x more of the game u could probly just kill bosses well out of their range) to take down everything else.

youre awesome for party play especially in early ladder when the sorcs/zons dont have infinity yet, and better than theirs once they do buy it. the build is finished at lvl 84 (this is if u choose to spec 1pt into fanat for smiting ubers/clone in a pinch as well) so you can even have like 10 hard pts into HS or so without much effort.

because of the long range play style it feels better far casting foh than it does casting hammers on a squish/pre enigma char by FAR. however, due to the nature of this char i probably would not use an enigma if i had one - unless i was just uber rich like that and could gear all chars as such by default. it definitely seems like it wont be as nice for 8players fully geared out and if ur soloing idk that the difference between charging into cs and teleporting is worth the rune cost but hey....maybe

My little brother has a lvl 88foh, It clears hell chaos really quick

im in hc and i dont even have a single pt in redemption. sounds like a waste of pts. i considered running the redeemer for a wep at first over hand of blessed light but it just never really became a need

125 is way overboard, especially without enigma. You'll never be able to cast FOH faster than every 1.5 seconds. Though holy bolt does need the FCR. Typically 75% is more than enough. Less than 75 makes HB really rough to cast.

1pt into smite?

I can say foh is incredibly fast at cs. The more Monsters in area the faster he gets. But Boss dmg sucks. Im tempted to switch foh again for cs runs but i usually do more than cs sadly
