You're using these offensive words, but you're avoiding the truth and the question. FF is too the best in slot in terms of pure damage. It's not trash. There may be better items in terms of overall performance, but it is not trash.

A 3 fire skill / 20 FCR circlet woth 2 sockets from Larzuk with 2 fire facets does more damage then flickering flame.

For hydra this is probably true. For fire druid FF is bis with the right pelt

A raven lore with facet is better.

Raven lore can't do +6 to skills. A 6 volcano/fissure 2os blue pelt with facets is technically the best but good luck finding one

Raven lore can do -30 fire Res and 7 raven and 25 all resist and 5% fire damage.

Because flickering flame is trash and shako is better.

Or a common 2skill or 3 tab circlet with 20 FCR or 100 life or whatever and 2 sockets is better.


And 2/20 or 3/20 circlets were 5fg on legacy.

It's not trash. Harlequin crest may be better overall, but doesn't deal more damage.

They may have been 5 fg during the end of a ladder season.

I may not disagree with that, but it's nice to get some alternatives to have more fun with the game. Not everyone is obsessed with harassing and bullying others in pvp and getting the ultra expensive items.

The -15% fire res and 5% fire damage difference is roughly equal to the +3 in fissure and +3 in another fire skill, like firestorm or volcano or molten boulder, heck if you are the son of god, you can even drop a 3os +3/+3/+3 fissure/firestorm/molten boulder, which beat this -15%/+5% any day
Level 8 resist fire aura is 106% fire res, which is greater than 25 to all res, and don't forget the 8% max fire res, which is extremely valuable
Thus, in the most optimal condition, flickering flame > ravenlore
But even winning the powerball is more likely than getting a +3/+3/+3 druid pelt
