no difference with soj+pskulls or only pskulls as long as you reroll with a high enough char level

PSkulls x 6 drops the ilvl every time u roll it

Soj + pskull doesn’t do that so you retain the ilvl

HOWEVER diadems can roll any affixes no matter the ilvl so 6 skulls is the way to go

Soj pskull rolling is only for stuff like rare bows

What lvl should you be rerolling ?

40+

for diadem u can be on a lvl 1, doesnt matter. and in any case char level doesnt change the outcome for rerolling rares via skills. that matters for crafting and gambling.

Char level does matter as with ilvl below 26 no chance for 2 sox

Good correction, for non-circs, tiaras, coronets, and diadems. char level does get calculated on pskull rerolls.

but shouldnt affect circ family items, as their ilvl = qlvl of the item regardless of the char rolling them afaik, even the sockets chance doesnt change if u use a lvl 1.

qlvl of diadem = 85. so even if u find a baal diadem (ilvl 99) and reroll it on a lvl 1, it wont drop below ilvl 85. if the formula tries to because its a lvl 1 it will default to ivl 85 to match its qlvl. afaik

also mechanics prefix in helms is aLvl 10, not 26.

Mechanics can spawn either one or two sockets. To spawn two sockets, the ilvl has to be at least 26.
The ilvl can (and will) drop with pskulls rerolling, even on diadems, however, the qlvl allows it to get all affixes no matter the ilvl (except the number of sockets on mechanics prefix)

so u still have a 50% chance to get 2 sockets as long as its ilvl 10 or greater

prob best to just reroll it on your mf char to never even get close to ilvl 26 then
