tried that still downloading the B version.

thats strange.. I did this on a new pc this afternoon and it worked fine. you can install it from a 3rd party which ive done before, you would just have to google it

i used gamepressure.com and downloaded from alamo. worked a few days ago for a different pc

it was working on my laptop. for some reason i updated my Geforce Graphix card on the Geforce experience app. my call of duty Vangard when i join a game it freezes then kicks me out of the whole program sends error code. i just downloaded the d2 again last night and pod . the pod works fine but the d2 lod is just giving me problems. my head hurts from trying to figure this new gaming desktop out.

Hello everyone,

We are aware of an issue in Diablo II (2000) affecting multiple gateways (US East, Europe, etc) which can cause an “Unable to identify version” error when connecting to Battle.net. This may happen after a fresh install of Diablo II due to a version mismatch between the Diablo II client version and server version. When downloading Diablo II from the downloads page you are given version 1.14B but in order to connect to Battle.net you must have version 1.14D.

To resolve this issue please manually download and apply the 1.14D patch via the links below. Links are separated depending on if you have the Lord of Desturction expansion installed or are just running the base Diablo II game.

Copy the full link, open a new tab in your browser window, then paste it into the address bar and hit Enter to start the download.

I have been through this. Click on Europe and try logging onto Europe like 4-6 times and then it will automatically update you or you will have the options

You will get that error quite a few times before it works.

Alternatively just grab the update here: http://ftp.blizzard.com/pub/diablo2exp/patches/PC/LODPatch_114c.exe - Works on first attempt.

i swapped to asia and it gave me the first pick then i logged it on EU and it loaded then came back to east and golden.
