Ber Ber Coa plus Enigma is 39% DR vs 8%, so consider that 4 skills isn't that much of a loss if you feel like you can still hard enough kill them with some Nado Spam. You can alternatively have a 2 socket 2/20 + good mods Circlet with Ber Ber on the swap (24% DR with Enig), still run an equally high damage set up as any 5 Nado pelt built with 163, but the difference is many thousands of FG.

im asking him what hes doing to be saying he never gets hit by melee. what are you jumping to conclusions for with me when I've been explaining he'd get hit in melee lol.

I'm not running 4 screen down, but I'm also not poking the barb while he's leaping around up in his face.. you'll never win a match this way if the barb has half a brain.

I'm just saying you gotta bait them.. if they land a ww on you.. odds are you're probably fucking dead already, with or without dr.

you'll be okay if he hits you with your wolves stacked and DR

e/ you do have to play more defensively in D2R than D2L though, you can't TT anymore. Their leap is a problem due to that, they'll just scoot you out of your zoo if you're not careful.

Hi.

Need to assess something I've been thinking about...

CoA - Ber/Ber with branch wand + 2x FCR Rings

=> Total +skills : 2

vs

2/20 Circlet with Hoto + 1 FCR ring + Extra ring slot (BK, raven, wisp, etc.)

=> Total +Skills : 5 (6 with BK)

Is the extra DR and resistances worth so many less +skills? I suppose the CoA setup may help tank maybe one extra hit from a smite or barb.. but at a cost of much lower damage output?

I'd like to point out I haven't tried this DR setup, but on paper it just doesn't seem to be that great... especially since I don't plan on stomping a barb/smiter any time soon.

What am I missing here...

Well personally i would keep 3 setups at stash :

Setup 1 :

CoA ”BerBer” + Branch + Enigma + Spirit + TO’s + Arach + Aldurs + 2sk / 20 Fcr / Str / +add Amu + 2 x Fcr / Str / Life / Mana / +Add Rings

Setup 2 :

2 Sk / 20 Fcr / 2 Soc / +add Circ ” ChamLo ” + Hoto + Enigma + Spirit + TO’s + Arach + Aldurs + 2 Sk / 20 Fcr / Life / Mana / +add Amu + Wisp + Fcr / Life / Mana / Res / +add Ring

Setup 3 :

Swap Circ to 6 Nado Pelt and Wisp to Soj/BK

Something like that should work i think.

CoA vs Barb/Bowas/Ghosts/Smiter

Circ vs Traps / TvT(?)

Pelt vs HDins / Necs / DvD(?)

It has been like 6-7 years when i had Druid last time so that is just my quess :D Maybe Stefbef or Overpriced can help you out here i think.

e: And yeah Circ / Pelt should have 10 Fhr as base, Pelt at least i think, to teach 99 Fhr bp easyer.

I have dueled the best melee players on a druid to ever play the game. If you think you don't need max DR, you are bad. Class is dismissed. You talk about not stomping a barb/smiter, and with that logic, you don't need DR right? Right...

Have you even dueled zons pre-patch? Have you been strafed in the current environment? Zons are about to become top tier again like .08 and .09. Max block or hybrid block will basically become mandatory on druids after the patch hits.
