Iv tried ES finally and dmg is still decent, and she is still tanky, what I like less is how sometimes ES almost instantly disappear and if you aren't careful about recasting it you die. Maybe that's because of the bug you are mentionning, I mean I have 2.8k max resists and with1.4k life 2.8k mana

es disappears when you run out of mana so you just have to make sure to recast after that happens

Oh ok, I'm surprised it's disappearing so often with 2.8k mana 1.3 life and 5 hard points in warmth (for total 19 warmth) heh

well I could be wrong, I don't have alot of research to back this up just something I realized while playing, before I respected into a vita build, maybe it is the wicked mana burn, that is why I switched

Yeah I didn't expect this. I mean apart from it disappearing, its pretty nice. I would consider remaining ES if it wasn't for that issue.

ya I really like the es build, I feel like mana burn didn't alway rape you so bad, way back when I thought that everyone made ES sorc or they were dumb lol, but I also thought that you used to get more mana per attribute point than you get life per point in vitality. I was young than tho and didn't every check if it was really that way

ES is garbage in PvM.

ES is also terrible in PVM and only better in pvp/dueling. Stick to lightning sorc if you are PVM

Its true, full es is pretty bad in pvm. Even with 3.6k mana, it instantly gets deleted by manaburn mobs, it really doesn't matter if you get it any higher to 4k+ either, at the most it buys you time to full reju then save and exit.

The problem lies with the manaburn bug itself, quote:

Due to a bug, melee attacks burn 256 times more mana than intended, resulting in emptying mana virtually every hit.

This is due to a combination of two bugs. The first is because the engine subdivides each point of damage into 256 bits of damage for better rounding accuracy. The Mana Burn code applies this multiplication twice, so all Mana Burn Unique monsters deal 256 times as much damage as they should.
The second bug that increases this damage to 512 times results from Hell difficulty applying a -100% penalty to all resistances. This includes the resistance to Mana damage, despite there being nothing that could raise that resistance in game. Thus, all attacks that drain mana drain twice as much in Hell.

There is just no way to go around it atm with full es build for pvm.
I know previously people use like a programme to alert for manaburn mobs but i would caution against using it especially with tightened security by blizz.
