Why not? Why legitimize organized cheating? Why would i want my efforts to be mitigated by profiteers? I would never sell items for pixels, but i would also not want the stuff i find to be less worth than what it is because someone is cheating.
And the logic that people have jobs is faulty, because i would happily give free items to people that don't have much time to play, to make their journey easier. If everyone gave some free stuff from time to time, and if nobody thought about money or profits, the game and the community would be genuine and just better. We wouldn't have these toxic people pushing high-end gear and bullying people suggesting lower range gear just to keep them out of the market so they can keep the market clear for themselves and their money grubbing schemes.
No bots = Genuine and pleasant community.
Hey Taurean 🙂. How are you doing? Couldn’t resist a response to this old argument lol.
You mentioned that you would never sell your items for pixels, but at the same time don’t want your items value lessened by a market flooded with bots. This statement seems like a contradiction to me. If you have no desire to sell your items, why would it bother you that someone else would sell theirs for whatever price they themselves decide or the market decides?
How does this affect your game play at all? How does someone else cheating affect you?
You don’t want to cheat, don’t cheat. What someone else does shouldn’t have any bearing on what you do.
Love ya buddy ❤️
Edit:
p.s. I’ve had many interactions with several shop owners that I use, never once have I felt like they are toxic people with ‘money grubbing schemes’.
They offer a service and I am thankful for that service. I LOVE when a Ber drops, as I farm myself and do not bot, but make no mistake lol, I also LOVE that I don’t have to rely on the abysmal drop rates of D2 to equip myself with whatever gear I choose. 😊
