I think it is us players really...we are all 20 years older and the same thing doesn't thrill us any more-even with a few qol changes.
that's true. probably just have to move on. every new ladder it's kinda fun to do the rush to first shako, occu, tals ect.. but that's about it.

D2R is as lonely as D3 with no chat and no reason to be in game with other people they just pick your loot!
i got sick of doing countless solo runs with zero luck at finding anything decent
so i made some public baal runs for a change figured id get better XP/Loot and second wave on second run a fuckin Ohm rune dropped and some noob swiped it so fast :wallbash:
i yelled "FUCK" as loud as i possibly could
@bbs12 dont hate the player hate the shitty stupid game
I feel you.

You guys were all complaining about changes that could be made to a 20 year old game and how it would ruin everything, and now you're complaining cause you're bored and hate grinding?
This is why veteran D2 players are some of the stupidest gamers on the planet. Anything that could create longevity to the new game gets backlashed. But the very thing people want kept is the reason it's only a small pool of people who play this game for a long period of time and nobody else gaf after their char is done.
Fun fact, the real reason why D2 is fun is because Magic Finding is addicting to many, and finding items that have relative value is half the reason people play. Take that out by screwing with the atrocious odds and you lose 75% of the population. The rest are bored and left to PKing or screwing around with meme builds.
Speaking of which, want PvP? Well, this game was never meant to be a hardcore PvP game. It just so happened that certain mechanics work well enough to make it fun. It's the reason why the game needs a grocery list of things not usable so that it's "fair".
That's exactly why I'm open to them making balance changes. If I wanted to play an unbalanced game with all the same mechanics, I wouldn't have paid $40 for a graphic swap.
I think blizzard could easily have an approach similar to wow, where they keep vanilla LOD and then they have an expansion with more content/features.
Or at least open the game again for MOD support, so we could have path of diablo and project diablo 2 on this new engine. everyone would be happy.
