In my opinion it’s the same exact game just with better graphics. If you’ve played old b.net you already know the servers blow so this should be no different. If your used to the old game you already know things are broke. Literally same exact game in every aspect.

i will say the graphic update actually makes a bigger difference than you would think. diablo 2 at its core is an awesome game, but being able to play it with modern graphics does add to the overall experience of the gameplay (hell i play on low settings and it still looks gorgeous)

pvp sucks, there are some of the same bugs that exist in every blizzard launch, but overall ive been surprisingly impressed by the playability of the game. i would dabble in classic lod now and then but resurrected reignited a fire that hasnt been lit since i was like 10 years old. i think the graphics and especially the audio in the remaster add a significant amount to that immersion.

Once again 100% your opinion. I never said anything wasn’t wrong with it. I said the old game was pretty busted and so is this one. But sure if you would like to pick and choose at what I said and have a ignorant opinion that’s fine too. Seems to me you just have terminal stupidity.

d2r has plenty of exploitable pvp mechanics that are still undiscovered. if you want to play a 20 year old game that is 100% figured out you still have the classic servers. not everyone who plays this game pvps (in fact i would say the vast majority never take pvp very seriously).

OP mentioned some of the problems in classic d2. if you want your economy to function off gg 100% perfect duped item for another perfect duped item that was dropped for free from someones 5th bot, that kind of eliminates the fun of arpgs which is hunting for the loots.

OP mentioned server population - not even close here. d2r has thousands of lobbies in every region, free cross region play, cross platform progression, a lot of features not present in lod classic that improve quality of life.

EDIT: with that being said no OP you should not play d2r YET if you are interested in hardcore. the framework is there and its awesome, but give it time to be perfected before paying if youre only looking for hc

That is your opinion, you could always press that cool little button to revert it to old graphics if that’s what your looking for. Quite frankly there have been no additions, from a1-a5 it’s the same. End game is the same. Tristram the same. Dclone the same. Grushs the same. The only real difference is in the graphics and shared stash. Even the busted meta champs are the same. So I’m not sure what your point is or if you are just that bored.
