Fire mastery can actually boost your enchant dmg threefold, it increases your chant damage for every skill lvl like a synergy, it increases your fire damage a second time when you cast it on yourself and a third time if you'd perform a melee attack.

is this true? thought just doubling through: 1. fire mastery synergy to enchant and 2. perform to myself... can you explain the third time a bit more? enchant does only affect melee / range dmg, not cast itself. so if enchanted on yourself, fire dmg only takes effect if you hit (your 3rd one). It doesnt increase spell fire dmg like fireball.

To make a viable one though they don't come cheap.

as you seem to have experience, how would a equip for such a sorc could look like?

inventory fire sks for enchant and later fire dmg scs/gcs? or just max dmg charms for hybrid (fire, physical)?

It boosts Enchant damage like a synergy, applies when Enchant is cast, and applies at the time of a melee attack. It does not apply a third time for ranged attacks.

Hopefully I don’t get warned for this, but The Amazon Basin wiki is the definitive go-to for Diablo 2 stuff.

% elemental damage like fire mastery or rbf will only multiple elemental damage added to a melee attack, not elemental damage added to a ranged attack. So yes, it can help you threefold.

Ch4rsi here on jsp have a viable sork bow build, I wouldn't like to miscredit him so check his at the bottom of his profile instead: https://forums.d2jsp.org/user.php?i=417714

Character screen displays Fire Mastery being applied to ranged fire attack damage as well, but this is not actually the case.

alright, good to know regard melee and fire mastery. so if you attack with fire charms and mastery, mastery will only get affected by melee not for ranged?

thanks for the link to profile of Ch4rsi. His sorc looks amazing ^^ just wondering, if he always keeps fire sk in inventory (prob y, as 45l) and why not replace by max dmg charms. Fire dmg charms doesnt make sense as mastery doesnt affect on ranged and it's not worth it then, right?

As said, % elemental damage will multiply added elemental damage for melee at a succesfull hitcheck, it will not for ranged attacks..

A full inventory if +max damage charms will add ~10 dmg to your pvp damage output. You're not a physical damage dealer.
If you want to precast you can use life/mana charms for survivability or more psn charms for damage.

well enchant lasts very long and if you look on Ch4rsi equipment, he just boosted fire dmg massively.

what if you change viper for forti and wear a 120/45 helmet to achieve a hybrid bowa sorc? as well as faster shooting. as you can enchant massively the rbf's shouldn't make such a difference afterwards in exchange for faster shooting + phsyical dmg (avoid fire abs, imunity)

as widowmaker has low base dmg, just give it a boost with max charms and forti / helmet will do the rest? ofc not thousand of dmg, but still nice hybrid?

or is it just not worth it?

Congratulations you now enhanced your physical damage from ~10 -> ~50 dmg by completely ruining a viable build.
4x 451 sc's alone would increase your damage more than your physical damage gear + inventory suggestion.

would it really be that low? i mean all those max charms will get multiplied by ed on forti and 12045, doesnt it?
