Is fg on this website strong enough to exist at current value without D2 item trading at this point? That is to say, if, for example, all items in D2 were now "soulbound", would the relative (to cash / other game currencies) value of fg drop? At this point, I'd guess like the majority of fg is actually used for either things like MTGO tickets or in the bar & pub games subforum.

If you're a frequent fg trader, please share your opinion on this.

Nobody really traded mtgo tickets anymore because of recent bans

the in game trade screen trade system was a better idea than introducing a currency and a middleman
but the problem with the in game trade system is it requires you to be online at the same time as whoever you want to trade, reducing the availability of anything you might want to buy or sell
JSP fills these gaps by giving players the ability to communicate and trade, send & receive private messages
but it also adds a currency system that filters it from your pockets into theirs
and into the hands of greedy tradespawns who literally dont even play the game

Another random rant from a completely different perspective-I love this game Diablo 2 It's nostalgic as fuk, I've played it since it came out and again on like 7 different iterations or something(including couple different mods). I got back into it again about a year ago on single player, and a lot of it was cause of reading through all the walkthroughs on here got me back into it. I couldn't care less about all this fg stuff or pvping on battlenet, but I'm glad there's still a community and shit, so it's cool dawg whatever.

I was playing Diablo 2 multiplayer since 2002 and I wish I had found d2jsp earlier, it was no fun at all to be limited up to 25 friends in game, with no contact while they are off-line, or being able to make only one trade per game. One of the most enjoyable parts was equipping high geared characters with forum support during january-february 2018, when high values of items were kept for a while.

Jsp is not the issue. Its the mass botfound items that are traded. Having a medium of exchange and a forum to leave trades open over hours, days and weeks is so much easier than wasting time sitting ingame

the cancer of d2 are those who dont play the game for fun but do
any kind of bad things to it just for the real-life-profit.

as this site makes that possible, you can actually call it cancer.

Call it what you want sherlock if you want a working ingame trading sysyem some people will always try to profit. If this chance is denied you dont have a free trading system..

If d2 wouldn't have that it would be at least 1/3 less entertaining
