Would legitimately demean my comment except that thanks to every single person botting, and many more duping, supply is limitless.

There is no competition.
Said baal botters are all cheap shits who would rather buy d3 and wow gold, and purposely drop the value of annis from 1500 to 900 in the span of 4 hours.

You seem to be a very angry person, as if you have been personally violated by a Baal botter and just resent every single one of them.

Dupers create a mass supply of high runes, competition makes each duper lower their price, opportunity cost means they will be missing out on NOT selling at a lower price.

Price drops from 1k, to 800, to 700, and so on and so forth.

Also, take into consideration that this is a ladder reset. Everyone is trying to sell everything they find, as quick as they find it, to make sure they get the most out of it.

If 10 people find a Shako in one hour, and they all list for 1k, they all look the same. If someone lists theirs for 900, they will lose out on a potential 100 gold, but they will be up 900.

An hour later, someone lists theirs for 850, for the same principles.

TL;DR

This game is 13 years old, you got it on your birthday 3 years ago.

The economy is shit because of dupers, yes.
It also sucks, well, simply because no one plays it anymore.
The game is run by botters, not as if it wasn't before.

It's no longer a supply & demand economy because godly items are botted everyday and the supply is always high.

Thanks for backing up my point with an essay, not really sure where your point of contention is.

There is no demand so people horde godly items, increasing their value.

This game is old, also..

Occupation: Unemployeed

Maybe you should stop playing video games all day and get a job..

Oh, I forgot, the U.S. economy is the strongest it has ever been and there are just millions of jobs available to recent college graduates with no professional work experience.

My bad.

Chicago is a Metropolitan area.

If you can't find work than you're a pathetic excuse for a college graduate.

enough children, anyones a badass on forums

The only reason people play diablo 2 is for the item grind. Very few people play for the game. If blizzard would just do ONE update to fix the r/d and the duping of high runes the game would be so much more fun. THink if only 3 people have enigmas today, and people were actually having to grind to find items. 3 days into I have perfect gear in everything. No fun in that. Now we wait 6 months for next reset!
