I'm not following your second thought. In one breath you are saying the gloves have to be perf on first up.. in the second breath you say that the upgrade from exceptional -> elite is a random roll as well. So they do not need to be perfect then.

Not flaming just trying to figure it out.

First roll doesn't matter as everytime you re-roll it gives you a new base defence.

i'll just keep note when i start upping my bloodfists/magefists

will see if i get any 88 defs when the 1st roll isn't perf :)
