But to answer your first post, they did remove e-mail/password recovery entirely due to theft claiming accounts.
So now the links are all broken to counter this. This means do not loose access to your account or you are SOL on your own.
Safer this way anyway. All it takes is "friends" or anyone to know your email(s) and that opens a door for them to exploit there way into your account(s) it's best to not register it or them, and just be responsible and don't lose the password.
