Last Banweave was 2017 last part of the year.

Not registered accounts were banned but Registered too,
accounts that were using Bots and Third party programs,
dosent matter if registered or not.
(There were banned accs that were leveled by bots by someone else too - level services and also some that had nothing to do with bots just were in the games with them...)

If you Register your account you got more chance to be safe ofc because
everything changed you got notification on the email and you have to confirm it.

Without registered acc you are more unsafe because you can be keyloged and email registered by scammer
Its easy to scamm unregistered acc on diablo2 game
its not easy to scamm acc in d2 game and also scamm gmail or other email together dont you think? ;)


So answer is yes, you can change pw in notregistered acc with more chance to be keyloged and hacked
than changing pasword on registered acc to your email.

for keyloggins to work you actually need to download and run malware. lol malware is not magic. my policy is i never change passwords on accounts because with registered accounts i have been locked out before but i was able to reset the account pass just make sure its registered. when making the account COPY AND PASTE the password into d2 so no mistakes happen - yes yes d2 can access your clipboard and it works in channels and in the lobby for making new games.
