In PvP everyone have DR and question is how CB work in PvP
I would disagree having Deadly strike above 100% is pointless :)
"have as many stacked additional damage sources and modifiers as possible" isn't CB one of this additional damage sources ?
i believe you miss interpreted my comment. I did not mean stacking dead strike like elemental resistances and have either conviction or lower res drop it, in d2 there is no method to remove deadly strike % chance and anything above the cap is pointless. I was talking talking about the boots gore riders indirectly because it has deadly strike / open wounds / crushing blow. It should be obvious and inferred that d2 has a max effective cap of deadly strike and going over is pointless. the point was to focus on deadly strike and if you have any amount of open wounds or crushing blow that too provides additional damage but its not as useful as deadly strike in pvp.

this is an easier answer:
pvp = deadly strike > crushing blow
like others have said it does add damage but is effected by dr so it does not add significant damage in pvp. instead when i build my melee physical damage pvp chars i focus on deadly strike. still its a damage source even if its nerfed in pvp by the pkers dr from gear the way to win is to have as many stacked additional damage sources and modifiers as possible like any % open wounds and any % crushing blow then tons and tons of deadly strike.
it never said anything about stacking crushing blow but having deadly strike + open wounds + crushing blow
