Malice's 100% open wounds is on-par with life tap. You don't fight uber w/o lifetap, and not without open wounds. Equip item, slap debuff on them, then fight.

Why is every build afraid to have a malice in the inventory to simply shift click, attack, shift click back.

10% on gore's, it's brutally low. Also this is assuming a player isn't using Dracs and is relying on a lifetap wand. Drac's can be very difficult to procure at the start of a ladder restart. If gear pricing isn't a factor I've seen all 6 ubers done in 45 seconds so no point in having a discussion about it.
