The worst part about blizzard is,
that they totally f...k on the fans and they didnt even made CASE for PC players for theyre collections.
I dont see that game was released with Case for PC even if they would just made Case with bnet Code inside without CD(blueray) will not care this.
But they didnt...they just made Case-boxed versions for consoles and that sux.
Same with d2resurrected.
For this i see blizzard of this years arent so good as old blizzard..because core diablo is PC and this ppl dont kniw it and dont care about players who are/was with them from 1997. They dont care about us but only about money and teenagers of consoles 2020+
All is now just digital sh..ts and thats why those games will be forgotten, by new game from year to year and it will never be any classics from them like d1 and d2 was. Even d3 can be classic after some years but d2r and d4 will not be and it life will be few/some years till 2030+ when totally new game systems will come and new games so this digitals will be forgotten quickly and players will play other digitals year after year and those digital d2r/d4 willnt become classics...

i have seen that on github and i downloaded the appimage again and tested it out... they patched the belt dupe

it runs great but the one thing that made it crazy fun was the dupe

Yes i too enjoyed dropping the same item over and over dozens of times trying to pick it at the same time as grabbing an item off the belt. But i'm fairly sure there are still some 3rd party programs (which i wont name or link to) out there you could use to d00plicate items if you need. I found in my time on devilutionx d1/hellfire i didnt really miss the belt dupe, and i didnt use any other 3rd party progs along the way. A couple of pro tips if you decide to (re)play d1:
1.) Farm warlord of blood quest. Easy way to gain gold. New game in normal difficulty, you have a 50/50 chance of having the quest on lvl 13. Best if you use a sorcerer to teleport; as soon as you see stairs to lvl14 without the room with armor/weapon racks just make a new game. Kill the guy and collect the loots to sell for gold, save, repeat.
2.) Farm pepin. Pepin the healer sells elixers of strength/vitality/dexterity/magic so you can max your stats. Only 5k gold apiece.
3.) Farm griswold/wirt. NPCs items are based on the highest value of each item class you have equipped and/or in your inventory. Keep the highest value staff/shield/amulet/ring/armor/axe/maul/sword you get on your character and make new games to shop for even better items. Griswold will get you obsidian rings/amulets of the zodiac, wirt will get you godly plates of the whale.

I have a bunch of the best items on d1 single player, if you ask nicely i could probably export the items to a file and send them to you somehow. Lmk. Otherwise grind for them like i did and its honestly more fun than most modern games. Until you max out each char class and get all the uniques etc
