Each time it’s a bit different. This outage is not the same from the past. In past attempts it appeared the actual game servers were not working due to long queue times. It took them several days to fix this.

This time the “unable to connect” message appears to be related to either a routing issue or a gateway/firewall problem on blizzards end. With out knowing details, this is only conjecture because we can only speculate.

Since we know Asia works I suspect it’s a down gateway/firewall or some routing to these regions. I do know they run everything in AWS now. So it’s probably an “oopsie daisy” and someone turned off some services. Or worse, Blizz forgot to pay their bill? Lol

But if it’s down longer than a week I wouldn’t be surprised.

I'm tweeting them almost every 4 hours. No one has even tweeted me back or acknowledged my tweet. I suspect they already know and people are working on it.
