Hi all,

Kinda have an idea but would welcome an explanation regarding the utility of JSTOD for V/T's?

Is it just solely to pack that extra bit of a punch seeing as smite dmg is lowish? Compared to other shields I notice the ED and stat points on them seem to be why these are coveted. I have a V/T that I've never really used so I'm just wondering what the full scoop is with them and if I do get around to using him one day I assume it's worth investing in one? Also, what particular match-ups would you be preferable to use it?

Alma negra is trash for VTs


Jstod was really good for VT For some matchups before blizzard changed firestorm to have 0 cooldown. Which means now the firestorm proc % from Phoenix no longer causes a delay in smite.

Now that Phoenix No longer causes a smite delay, the 465% ED/50life/5 max lightning resist/10max fire resist Is better than anything jstod offers.

Anytime you used jstod in legacy, you now use Phoenix in d2r

Nobody really uses JSTOD dude, people moved to JSTOC with ed/str/dex/LR jewels years ago...

and yes they use them for higher smite dmg with ed jewels and ideally ed base on shield.

reason for use = LR stack + smite dmg . . .

Only people that don’t know what they are doing use 4x Ed/Str/Dex/lr jewels in their jstoc or jstod
