I don't think I've ever made a bowazon in my life, but the stats seem crazy on this thing

for roughly the same rune value you can make faith, which has fix 330ed for the runeword itself plus another 237-288ed from the faith aura. for a physical build, this is way superior. for a pure cold zon build, ice might be good as well, but even for hybrids faith should be better

damn so the ED on Faith outdoes the ED + cold skill damage on Ice?

In my opinion, a properly built ice frostmaiden is not far behind a faith bowa when it comes to damage output. And it's damn fun to play. It just requires more specific gear choices. Dealing with cold immunes is done with physical damage, which means you must switch skills from time to time, and some people may find that a bit tedious and just choose to stick with faith.

Perhaps it's because a cold damage Zon has to spend a Jah and Lo Rune to be at the same level a Cold Sorc is with "Ral Tir Tal Sol" and x2 "Tal Thul Ort Amn".

Primarily due to fanaticism.

Fanaticism + IAS is different from just +ias on gear for example.

Faith makes it exfmeslt easy to reach max attack speed.

Yet the question was answering as to why few people use the Runeword. It has trash ED, it's not even the best Bowazon Build, it's super expensive.
