Hi.

Need to assess something I've been thinking about...

CoA - Ber/Ber with branch wand + 2x FCR Rings

=> Total +skills : 2

vs

2/20 Circlet with Hoto + 1 FCR ring + Extra ring slot (BK, raven, wisp, etc.)

=> Total +Skills : 5 (6 with BK)

Is the extra DR and resistances worth so many less +skills? I suppose the CoA setup may help tank maybe one extra hit from a smite or barb.. but at a cost of much lower damage output?

I'd like to point out I haven't tried this DR setup, but on paper it just doesn't seem to be that great... especially since I don't plan on stomping a barb/smiter any time soon.

What am I missing here...

you don't do any damage if you get one shot by melee

don't get hit? :wacko:

I'd like to point out.. if you get 1 hit by melee.. then you're probably fucking with a charger or smth.. at which the coa won't save you..?

sure dont use a DR setup then. the price for bers will drop when you come back to buy them.

Well I'm just trying to figure why people go with this setup on dudu's...

Now for DvD... I can see why this could be preferred.. but only if you hit the higher FHR... otherwise any nado spam will lock a 99 fhr druid regardless , and your coa won't be helpful..

as a druid for you to harm anyone you have to show up on their screen unless youre playing extremely passively and hoping they teleport into your nados as you run for 10m

you will get hit by melee, while its true the tornados have a long range theyre increasingly easier to dodge the farther they travel.

You're going to get hit. Druids get hit a lot in general. Granted most of the time its your zoo taking those hits, (or cyclone for elemental) this is still rng and with the wolves they disperse relatively quickly if you stop to cast nados. It's not an impenetrable wall.

Also a lot of people will not let up on you if you lose your summons and try to run and recast. Barbarians have a very fast fcr bp and some of them will use dual hotos if its a teamfight scenario or just out of preferrence. even without all of that, you still have slow frames and have a lot of summons to get up if u go with wolves. Vs melee theyll get past your bear quickly so even if u cast bear instead were still back at square one which is youre going to get hit.

youll do more damage if you die half as fast.

Fair points... but in terms of dueling... I've personally found this to be the only real way to win vs a barb.. other than dueling with totally undergeared barb with next to no DR.

so are you casting nados at the edge of his leap, circling the barb, and going off the minimap to resummon? or are you constantly teleporting off of the minimap and leaving tornados behind you in 1 direction?

e/ or putting it another way hoping that barbarian teleports into your tornados when your druid isnt on his screen to win?

circling the barb?
so you're expecting druid to chase druid and play offensively in a DnB matchup?
holy...
