Ok i know most people play d2r but is it me or d2r doesn't give me this nostalgia feeling ? Is it the new graphics ? Is it the new ui improvements ?

I think that most of the old timers on LOD are focused on PvP.
A few new peeps come in play for a bit. Some get hooked, some move on.
And, of course, there are the farmers. They are building up their economy one fg at a time. :blush:

I tried d2r. Bought it, spent three weeks unable to play due to server issues, experience and item loss rollbacks, and last, yet not least, Blizzard gifted us all with new queues which increased in size when you finish one queue and the game does what it always does by dropping you as you are levelling. They refused to refund me. Had I known it was a game that was not ready for launch, I would have not bought it. Nice graphics. Terrible business model.

So, that's it for buying anything Blizzard related. I love playing to have fun with family and friends. So, I'll stick to d2 classic and lod 'til the servers are shut down. Super stable games and still fun for us old timers. :hug:

maybe they are slowly getting tired of d2 :(

in my case depending on the day sometimes I'm going after meph or andy and I suddenly feel this... idk, maybe nostalgia or w/e it is that reminds we what I was like 15 or so and played singleplayer.

I also usually feel it when I'm after the malus, I even hear the songs I used to listen to at that time, and I like the feeling.

but sometimes I get bored since I nowadays know all the "secrets" of the game and its quest etc etc...

I remember when I first played btnet lol was so excited because I was playing with "a lot" of "real people" (I DID NOT know about bots and I actually thought that they were real players that played SO fast looool)

nevertheless I did enjoy trading with other players and learning all the thing that I know now but that I ignored back then

I hope that good feeling comes back to everybody that still plays d2 :hug:

There was a fine balance in the old d2 community. When d2r came out, and on multiple consoles, it destroyed the little glue that was left in the community, scattered those loyal fans, and now it's deteriorating rapidly. Add that to all the bugs in d2r and the high requirements, people are getting tired and moving to other games.

It's got everything to do with change. People are tired of playing the same old D2. They want D2 but improved. That an bots kinda ruined d2Lod. They said they're going to do what they can to stop bots and what not from ruining d2r, we shall see

Expiring characters, split servers, why I didn't bother much with legacy D2. At least I can build a char here and not have to babysit 10 chars so that they don't expire.
