Some of you may have seen my previous posts. Thanks to everyone who commented, I found out my preferred vita setups and I now have respeced to ES to try it too, with this exact build : https://d2.maxroll.gg/d2planner/6y010680#5

I was worried the dmg would be really bad, but althought its slowleer than pure vita, it's still decent, and I feel tankier.

The only issue is the following : I noticed that sometimes ES just "disappear" sometimes during chaos runs (maybe due to mana burn or just taking too much damage by telestomping too much?) and that suddenly I need to be very careful, and I even died once.

Mind you this is with 2.8k mana, 1.2 lifes, 75 all res, 117fcr / 86fhr, 5 hard point (19 total) in warmth and max telekinesis, level 22 ES.

Does anyone know why this would happen?

yeah tele into a mob with mana burn and you can expect a swift death playing pure es sorc
unless you can juv and recast es before your life drops to 0

so basically after testing it, ES is useless in PVM if its main purpose (being tankier than vita by sacrificing dmg to telestomp more) doesn't work heh?

I personally prefer Vita sorcs for PvM because if ES does go down, you're screwed.

Stormshield with max block and vita sorc is great for being tanky. tele into a mob, and what you're not blocking, you can tank. if you have max fhr, its not hard to tele out

Never es for pvm its better in pvp

es/nova sorc is a beast pvm!

You pretty much summarize ES pretty well.

ES is tankier most of the time, then you found a extremely common mana burn and your tanky sorc is way more fragile than any vita sorc, in the end you die more often.

Mana burn > ES
