Hi guys im a magic finder and just purchased my grail of all items.

A perfect ed eth 3os tomb reaver do you think it makes most sense to socket it with 3 40 ed/10mf jewels OR 2 40 ed / max dmg jewels and an ist?

Its for my merc emilio who works very hard.

Would love some feedback on best way to jewel this thing

I did that to my last one but i noticed he didnt kill as quickly so there is a point in magic finding where killing quicker equals quicker mf.

Know what i mean? Its a fine line and im trying to better understand it. Any ideas on that?

O wait, you said perfect ED, let me do the math real quick.

245-1125 is the damage with 3 40ed/10mf jewels

225-1065 is the damage with 2 40ed/15max damage jewels and 1 ist.

So, 40ed/10mf is better.

Anyway for merc you would want ed/ias so he can hit faster… the mf wont make much difference

I know what you mean but do not agree. If you are gonna go that route you are looking for worthless items and are not a magic finder in spirit. You need to go full mf with that sexy thing or it is a huge waste Imo. You might as well go hoto shako spirit travs enigma on a pala hdin for clear speed and eth insight on the merc if that is your stance. Being a "magic finder" you should max ur chance at rare items and have a bit of a challenge at the same time. I understand the clear speed argument but that negates the spirit of being a true magic finder. Bots use 300mf works fine for a mindless bot. Not talking crap thats just my 2 cents. Challenge yourself in style.

I am 100% with you my friend. I would 3 ists in that thing and call it a day. Alas i play Hardcore where survivability and killability is paramount. I think that should be taken into account
