So, just started a light sorc. Got an infinity on her, and I have to say... first couple of runs is lackluster. Do 12k chain lightning, 31k lightning, basically spam chain lightning, but the increase in killing speed vs
blizz sorc seems meh.

Have to pot merc often to prevent him from dying, and kite back often. Other merc had ridiculous amounts of survivability with eth reapers. Also have to watch out for my own mana as well.

Will continue to update. Hope this changes as I continue to upgrade her gear.

edit: Still need a griffons. And a couple of light charms. But don't think it'll make too big a difference. Hell cows have 50 light resist, so conviction should get them to -100

Just did another run. Spammed lightning this time. Kills faster than blizz sorc. Am still having merc survivability issues.
He does only have a tals helm, no jewel. Treachery as well

BTW conviction give - 85, they are at - 35 a faceted griffon will put them at - 60 if you don't have any other gear that give - ELR.

It's close to a 25% damage increase, it's still noticeable.

Go near a pack, static twice, spam lightning, maybe a couple of chain lightning for survivors if they are not close, move to the next.

Static also help with your merc, since will help him to take 1 or 2 cows by himself and be hit left often.

Am experimenting with different places. Right now, cows seems like best place, followed by cs. They require different setups though.

Update. Sorc clears cows well, had to switch to holy freeze for extra tankability on merc, also lets me spam lightning without moving, since cows get to me slower. Haven't tried other places yet, but not sure if MF is even that important, in say cows. Anyone know if you can just take off mf gear on light sorc or if that's even worth it ?

Runes are a common thing looked for in cows which doesn't require mf. Stack ur gear and Grape.

Right. Only thing is, if I do other runs, will have to change gear if I do decide to take off my mf for cows. Doesn't seem too worth it however.

edit: Could possibly replace a gheeds for a light gc, but that seems meh
