Hi all,

I was playing online with Diablo 2 LOD, then all the sudden all my characters couldn't join/create any games at all. Shortly after, I can't connect to Bnet and it keep saying " You were disconnected from Battle.net. Please Reconnect." in all realms I've tried.

I am using Verizon Fios personal home connection IP address for this game and this never ever happen to me before.
I tried to restart, shut down, reset my connection and everything but still did not work.
I do not use any bots or hacks, I was just legit playing the game and this happen. Am I temp banned or something? If so, how long?

Could someone advise me on this and give me tips to resolve this issue?

I have logged on to my blizzard.com account and emailed their support team, but no one is responding to help me and I can't play this Diablo 2 game online via Bnet on US east realm.

Run as adminstrator
Give access from firewall
Dont use VPN

Thank you so much for your respond but I tried all the above, still Bnet says the same message " You were disconnected from Battle.net. Please Reconnect." on the below image :(

I keep seeing this for the first time ever! And, I am using the latest 1.14 D patch as well.

Pretty sure the issue is on your end
Have you tried running as admin and with compatibility thing?
Next thing, try call your internet provider and ask them if they can reset your connection so you get a new ip or something

Yes, I have tried running as admin with the compatibility on my D2 and still having the same issue message with I cant connect to Bnet. I guess I will have wait a few days to see if this is temp IP ban and if it doesn't work still then I will have to call my internet service provider, Verizon Fios to reset my connection for a new IP address.

This kinda sucks being unable to connect to Bnet to play D2 Lod during corona quarantine time crisis for us gamers :(

Are u using Proxy or VPN? You should not use any of this!

Is you real IP residential? You need Residential IP!

What was the messege u get when your characters could not create / join games all from sudden?

Hey, thank you for your comment and response and I really appreciate this.

I am not using any VPN or Proxy connections. I just directly use my verizon fios box with ethernet connected to my main PC so its personal residential IP address.

At first my character creating game it says long wait time like on line #10789, then it become you cannot create games now and try to join games. I tried joining games my friends are in, it says game do not exist. I was like wtf? This is weird and keep trying then I closed my D2 and reconnect to see if this resolves it and then I get this cannot connect to Bnet message.

Then it never changed since. :(

Quite same problem here.
2 Months ago i could play without any problems. Suddenly it says " You were disconnected from Battle.net".
Ive read a much about ip banned for several reasons.I dont just any kind of VPN im not botting map hacking or any kind of third party program.
So i just waited about 4 weeks and it looked like it was gone.
I could play change Accounts everyhting was no problem.
Now after a week of playing i got the same Message again and cant login.It is annoying like hell.
Important to say : I didnt create too many games or any kind of that i have really no idea what is causing this problem.
Ive tried :
-Reinstalling the game
-Giving Ports for D2 and Battle.net on my Router
-Disable Firewall and any program which could block the way
-Disable TCP/IPv6 beause i read about causing problems with it

Thats what i remember know but i really tried like everything you can find on the first sites when you google this problem.
Connecting Battle.net Support doesnt work for me i dont know why.


One more thing
I went to my parents weeks ago and stayed there for a whole week ( My problem with Battle.net was before and after that )
and i could play without any kind of problems with the same computer which i have home here i brought it with me.
So thats why i think its something with the IP Adress but as i said i have not any idea left what it could be.

I am thankfull for any kind of help like Jonz-Alpha too
And i would pay fg for the solution of this very annoying problem !

One more add
A friend bought the game yesterday installed it and has the same problem.
So he couldnt even login a single time wtf?
Both games are on patch 1.14D so its not the 1.14B Problem


Thanks for you help at all but as mentioned from Jonz we are not using any vpn or proxy
It has to be something with the IP Adress but i dont know any reason for it
Running as admin , even deactivated firewall as i said no vpn or proxy.

SO when u click on battle.net u get '" You were disconnected from battle.net.Please reconnect" Does it happens on the other 3 realms ?

I really believe is your ISP and your IP , they are behind a secret Proxy/VPN which u are not aware of ! IF u got a frriend who uses the same ISP like yours , try to enter from there if same thing happens then u know where is the problem!

Yes, all realms I get the exact same message " You were disconnected from Bnet. Please reconnect".

Ah okay, I may have to call Verizon Fios for this IP address change then. I can't really go to any friends house because of the corona virus with social distancing from everyone. So hopefully within a few days this works but if not then I have to contact my ISP to have them reset my connection and change IP address to see if this works.

Thank you for this, I appreciate your help and response.

Anything further I should look at for this issue?
