And, let's say, i have an unperm BB that have been on a mule account for 10+ years, then there should be a very low chance to meet an identical id belt, right?

And if i get it clash tested, from someone who, let's say, who have all id's available, on one or multiple characters, can i then safely say it's perm'd?

Or is there always a little chance that someone who login to refresh his/her account, have a same id belt as mine, begins to play, donate it or sell it?

I would also like to try and clash test it, if it survives, can i be safer in duel game's if i forget to perm?

Or is there just no way to know?^^


I imagen that i should be playing with it for 10 years without perming before i'd dare to think about it's permed^^

The reason why some BB's are perm is simply because there was no item id system until a specific patch (not sure if it was 1.08).
After this system was implemented, every old and new item received a random id, while BB's (and any other item) that were duped after this specific patch had the same id as their original one, so these are unperm.

If your BB stands the clash test, it doesn't mean you can be 100 % sure it's perm. But at this moment in d2 history, with such a small player base and most items gone, i'd say you can be 99 % sure that it won't poof.
